Reviews and Ratings
The superior rooms were spotless and spacious, even nicer than some expensive hotels I've stayed in. The spa experience felt like public swimming pool changing rooms, but the amenities were brilliant and included in the price, so you can't go wrong with that.
The hotel is quite large and would benefit from upgrades to the rooms and corridors, but my stay was very peaceful with extremely quiet rooms. It did get a bit hot, and having a small fridge in the room would have been helpful to keep drinks cool. The staff was friendly and eager to assist, but there were some lapses in service like not ensuring breakfast items were replenished. The location was ideal for my trip, not far from Cardiff, although some areas looked a bit neglected, and there was limited outside seating. Dining was satisfactory, but there were occasional issues with food availability. The facilities were functional, though basic.
I stayed in one of the superior rooms on the ground floor with french doors opening onto the courtyard. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and even nicer than some pricier hotels I've been to. However, the consistency in room quality was a bit lacking, and we had to be directed to different rooms during our stay.
